Liz Vasquez was born and raised on the Colombian Caribbean coast, where the ocean was never just a backdrop — it was a way of life.
Growing up surrounded by water, she spent her early years practicing wakeboard, water ski, kneeboarding, diving, and freediving, deeply influenced by her family’s watersports businesses in Santa Marta, Colombia.
In 2016, Liz moved to Miami, where she expanded her skills and passion into wakesurf and eFoil.
Her dedication, natural talent, and connection with the water quickly led her to work as a coach at Miami Wake Academy, where she spent several years refining her teaching method and coaching riders of all levels.
When the academy closed, Liz saw an opportunity to create something of her own — something more personal, intentional, and experience-driven.
That vision became Miami Aqua Experience: a platform designed to share the magic of surfing the water, learning with confidence, and connecting deeply with the ocean.
